Electric Adventure is an annual multi-day, culture event that takes place Saturday, August 1st and Sunday, August 2nd on the beach at Atlantic City, New Jersey. This marks the 4th year of Electric Adventure and is promised to have an entire new experience lighting up the beach in Atlantic City. Electric Adventure expands to 5 stages and will feature the biggest and most diverse lineup ever. Electric Adventure will also feature interactive art installations, beach volleyball, water slides, VIP platforms, food, drinks, and much more. Since Project 46 released Karma Fields debut on Monstercat, the hype has hardly subsided. There have been other releases in the meantime that brought attention to Project 46, however when Monstercat premieres a new anonymous entity with a track as brilliant as “Build The Cities,” people definitely pay attention. The Electric Daisy Carnival is regarded as one of the world’s leading music festivals. EDC brings together some of the hottest and most talented acts in the electronic music world. We all know the well-known DJs and performers but here is a little look at some of the less known but equally talented up and coming acts. Art Department is a house duo from Toronto featuring Glasgow and Johnny White. They made their debut in 2011 with their single “Without You” which became a hit. They released their latest track “Natural Selection” in 2014.
Don’t miss out on this talented Iranian-American house and techno DJ/producer with the stage name of Dubfire. He has earned recognition for contributing to the Grammy Award-winning electronic duo Deep Dish. In 2006 he decided to embark on a solo career and is known for his innovative sound and bringing in new and fresh elements to create groundbreaking music. Yellowclaw is a unique trio of DJs that are from Amsterdam. They started coming to the attention of the public after they hosted weekly parties at a popular nightclub in Amsterdam. In addition to the nightclub appearances, they were building their presence online as well. They signed with Diplo’s Mad Decent label in 2013 and have been creating hits ever since.
Ame is a house music duo from Germany. They have built up an underground following and released their breakthrough hit, “Rej,” in 2006 and have continued to produce hits in the music world. There are many young DJs and producers that are coming into the electronic music world. One of those is the talented Andrew Rayel who has been referred to as the modern day Mozart. He is from Moldova and is known for his unique trance sound. He studied orchestral music and decided Trance was the way to go for the perfect combination of his music skills and studies.
Tchami is a French DJ and producer that has done remix work for artists like Janet Jackson, AlunaGeorge and A Tribe Called Quest. In 2013 he released his debut, “Promesses,” on Fool’s Gold Records. Don’t forget about the Lithuanian DJ that goes by the stage name Ten Walls. He was trained in classical music which he integrates into his electronic music. His 2014 single, “Walking With Elephants”, became a charting single in the U.K. These are just to name a few DJs/producers, however there are many more acts that you won’t want to miss out on!
