Over the years, Electric Zoo Festival, one of the biggest EDM festivals based out of New York, has earned itself a bad reputation for having cancel Sundays due to extreme weather conditions and drug related incidents. As a matter of fact, many attendees this year were skeptical about going on Sunday since it has been cancelled for the past two (2) consecutive years. All the superstitious-skeptics even started to make believe that Electric Zoo Festival’s Sunday was cursed forever.
Well… my raver bunnies and bros, Electric Zoo Festival made a statement this year with a new theme, “Tranformed,” and a main stage influenced by the Phoenix Bird which symbolized and promoted themes around REBIRTH and REINCARNATION. Electric Zoo Festival wanted to make a subconscious effort to tell its fans that this is the year they are turning a new page and leaving the past behind… and that is exactly what they did!
Those who attended Electric Zoo Festival: Transformed this year were blown away with “all-new production, crowd control, festival grounds carefully arranged in attendees favor and flooded by performers and art; Awakenings and blessings from the techno gods, VIP lounges,” hosted by ECL Events and AIM Hospitality Group, “fit for even New York City’s most daring partiers, fireworks that could’ve woken up neighbors all the way in New Jersey, and not to mention a f*cking massive Main Stage that will now be put in the conversation with the Ultras and Tomorrowlands of the world,” according to our friends at Dancing Astronaut.
Ravers from all over the world united to represent their respective homeland.
New York City’s biggest spenders joined in on the action inside the VIP Skyloft hosted by ECL Events and AIM Hospitality Group.
Even Instagram King, Dan Bilzerian, attended and partied with a 100 babes inside the Skyloft VIP Tables.
Water gun fights erupted inside of the Skyloft VIP table section.

1. When did you start DJing and what or who were your influences at the time?
I first got into Djing when I was 15 years old, my first mixtape had a 50 Cent Track, Snoop Dogg Track & Mariah Carey Track I used to play it at school on my Mini Disc with a pair of computer speakers that I wired up to a 9volt battery. At that point in time the main influences for me were all the Power 106 LA Djs, I really looked up to them, also my buddy DJ EFX for helping me with my first pair of turntables.
2. What is your best DJ memory?
I’d say hearing my track “Megazord” being played at EDC Las Vegas this past year.
3. Out of all the tracks you’ve spun, which one never fails?
Theres a lot out there that always pop off, I’d say – “This Is Dirty” by DVBBS & MOTi, no matter what venue I play at people always lose their mind for that track, its heavy.
4. Who are your biggest musical influences currently?
Porter Robinson, My Boys at Trapstyle Bass Collective and Blasterjaxx
5. You have been blowing up on the West Coast recently, what has contributed to that?
50% the music 50% the party, I bring something fresh to the scene on the West Coast, I’m constantly finding new ways to bend genres, I’ve even dropped a Taylor Swift Remix in the club before and I think people appreciate my willingness to take risk and be innovative. Not only that but I love to incite madness, everyone shows up knowing its going to be a party.
6. Tell us 5 things about yourself that people don’t know.
- I once hit a 7-10 split while bowling
- An alpaca showed up at my birthday party
- I once traded a car for a watch
- I don’t like fennel seeds
- I used to practice using the force on small pencils and pens

The Official Music Video for Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike vs Ummet Ozcan ‘The Hum’ is absolutely insane!
Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, the official headliners and act for Tomorrowland Festival, smashes their newest track – inspired by Leonardo DiCaprio’s war chant in The Wolf of Wall Street – with the help of Ummet Ozcan. However, the official video for Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike vs Ummet Ozcan ‘The Hum’ is on another level of madness. Featuring an elephant, a monkey wearing a ‘Smash The House’ t-shirt, an alligator and special guest appearances by Charlie Sheen and Jean-Claude Van Damme, this music video makes Project X: The Movie look like child’s play. Don’t believe it. Press play.
