Kaskade known throughout the years for his gratifying electronic progressive house music has taken this year and his fans by storm. Kaskade heavily sought after for many festivals from Ultra to EDC and shows that sell out in a blink of an eye, has went on tour again on his own. While in the midst of hitting up shows all across North America and promoting his upcoming album “Automatic” which is to hit stores on Sept. 25, is creating a movement on his own. America has spoken and in 2008 & 2011 Kaskade has been held in high regard as one of America’s Best DJ’s stemming from major hits such as “4AM” and “I remember” with deadmau5. With other numerous hits to grab the Top 10 spot of Billboard’s Hot Dance Airplay Chart as well.
Kaskade explodes on the scene once again this year and for all you New Yorker fans, you can see Kaskade on October 24 at Pier 94. Last year’s “It’s You, It’s Me” Redux Tour, he came through as a tornado, by simply playing at smaller venues and clubs promoting the art of energy that he calls lost yet created his flourishing beginnings. He calls this a reversal of time, in hopes of trying to bring back the purity of house music for what it once was. Restrained lights, deep and emotive house is what Kaskade seems to still be aiming for this year come again.

Untold Festival is Romania’s brand new mega-scale summer party. A huge electronic lineup with a sprinkling of urban and pop music will take over 20 venues across the city of Cluj-Napoca, as open-air partying moves up to the next level in Eastern Europe. The festival organizers have aimed unbelievably high with stage design to reflect the amazing stories of famous Romanian fairy-tales. Braced for an influx of 300,000 people, Cluj will be transformed into several magical realms – including The River, The Mountain, The Citadel, The Forest and The Pool. DJs such as Avicii, David Guetta, John Newman, Armin Van Buuren, ATB and many others will be gracing the stages of the Untold Festival for 4 days and 4 nights on July 30th to August 2nd.
Untold Festival is giving an interesting incentive for discounted tickets. Attendees who donate blood at one of the donation centers before July 24th will receive 30 percent off the price of their purchase, and anyone who donates at specific hubs in Bucharest and the host city will receive a free one-day pass. The festival’s motivation is both social and commercial: Romania has one of Europe’s lowest blood donation rates, and being the only festival in the world that gives blood an entry level is garnering plenty of attention. The festival is taking place on Dracula’s turf so it only makes sense to donate a little blood for discounted entree fees. Don’t miss out on an epic festival and be sure to get your tickets before they are sold out!

Bassnectar is an American DJ and record producer. He is best known for his live performances, light shows, and community engagement. Bassnectar honed his style playing house parties in the San Francisco Bay Area, and began gaining momentum at Burning Man, often playing up to 7 sets a night. He began the project as an open-sourced musical experiment exploring the interplay between music and community. He released his first album in 2001 and performed as Bassnectar for the first time in 2002. Since gaining momentum and commercial acclaim, Bassnectar has collaborated with and remixed a host of artists and producers, including Lupe Fiasco, Perry Farrell, Ellie Goulding, Gogol Bordello, Sound Tribe Sector 9, Datsik, ill.Gates, Mimi Page, Excision and Jantsen, and many more.
Bass music’s king of innovation, Bassnectar, just dropped five new tracks off his upcoming Into the SunEP out June 30th via his imprint Amorphous Music. Lorin first gifts us with a metal-inspired remix of The Naked and Famous’ “No Way” followed by new originals “Into the Sun”, Speakerbox featuring Lafa Taylor, the gritty and dark “The Mystery Spot” alongside G Jones and a 2015 rework of his remix of Dorfex Bos‘ self-titled single.
There will be 16 tracks featured on the genre-bending album, consisting of a medley of new productions, reworks of past remixes and finishing with a bonus 70-minute mix of the album titled “Mixtape 13.” While Lorin’s die-hard fans await the highly-anticipated album, in the interview he is quick to say he will treat it like a mixtape stating: “[Mixtapes] are fun playgrounds for me because there are no rules. You’re basically sampling anything and mixing everything together with abandon. It’s like a big fucking sonic collage.” Be sure to click below to hear Bassnectar’s newest songs, we promise you won’t be disappointed!

A few days ago, trance fans in Los Angeles were greeted to a welcome surprise. According to multiple sources, clubbers found fliers on the street announcing Insomniac Event’s newest festival, Dreamstate. According to the flier, the festival will be entirely dedicated to trance music; this is the first time Insomniac has ever catered to the genre in such a way.
Furthermore, it seems the event producer has chosen to go the route of raves happening in the early ’90s and early 2000′s — no official announcement has been made on the company website, and it seems the only solid proof that the festival is real came from a posting by Motive Events on Facebook.
The festival will take place somewhere in Southern California for two days right after Thanksgiving. Obviously, the lineup remains to be seen. Considering Insomniac’s more recent trance lineups have featured an array of artists from across the trance spectrum, fans are speculating it will more than likely be satisfactory for everyone. The fact alone that Insomniac is throwing a festival with a purely trance lineup is huge; such festivals are rarely seen outside of Europe or some parts of South America.
Stay tuned for more development on what will hopefully be an incredible new festival!
To help attendees cope with the post-Tomorrowland Brasil blues, Elite Daily and T-Mobile teamed up with the festival to release a special short film following two festival-goers from their daily lives into the realm of Tomorrow and back to reality.
The short film also debuts three unreleased tracks: “Portland” by an unidentified producer, “Wake Up” by Jay Hardway, and “Zero Gravity” by Borgeous featuring Lights — all of which are sure to be heard at the forthcoming Tomorrowland in Belgium and TomorrowWorld in Georgia. If that’s not enough, the video was released alongside a TomorrowWorld contest for fans to win an all-inclusive VIP package for four including passes, two Easy Tents, and a helicopter tour of the grounds at the festival in September.
Still want more from Tomorrowland Brasil? Don’t worry we have you covered. Tomorrowland has released the after-movie for its inaugural edition in Brasil. The 11-minute clip shows what Tomorrowland does best — big crowds, big DJs and big production. The short film primarily is focused on the main stage where you have the biggest production and the most well-known names, but also shows some overhead shots of the camp grounds and a few other stages on the lush grounds just outside of Sao Paolo. ID&T, the company who produced Tomorrowland, also has a teasing announcements for Mexico and India. At the end of the video, the dates for the 2016 edition of the 3-day event is also announced.
